Park cleanup Nov. 6 – join us

Here are some dates to put on your calendar:

Oct. 31 – This Sunday is the Cyclocross in Warner Park. We will have at least 4 members watching this race and its impact on the park.

Nov. 5 – Member Jack Hurst to be honored as a “North Star”  6-8 p.m. at the Warner Park Community Center. Join the Northside in honoring Jack and others who do so much for our neck of the woods.

Nov. 6: Timothy Garrett is leading a trash pickup, Sat. Nov. 6 at 1:30 p.m. Here is his note:
It is proposed that we could meet on the first Sat. of every month, starting with Nov. 6th at 1:30 pm to pick up trash in the park.
It would be seasonal from the end of winter when it gets warmer (March/April) to the late days of fall when it gets too cold or when snow touches down.
If anyone has silent, peaceful non-violent watercraft such as canoe or kayak feel free to bring that for some water trash pick up, if you don’t think it would be too cold to do so.
Bags can be provided for trash/recycling collection and it is suggested that you bring your own gloves for handling materials.
We will meet at the shelter under the big colorful cylinders and coordinate and disperse from there for clean up.
If anyone would like to join me on Sat Nov. 6th at 1:30 pm or for any questions call Timothy at 467-8355 or email at [email protected]
Feel free to invite family and friends.

Nov. 10 – The Parks commission meets at 6:30, at Warner. No agenda yet.

Nov 16 – Russ Hefty of Parks holds his last public information/listening sessions on geese management. The focus is “geese in general parklands.” 6-8 p.m., at Goodman Maintenance Facility, 1402 Wingra Creek Parkway. You are encouraged to attend and speak.

Nov. 30 – Wild Warner meets. 6-8 p.m.
