Mild weather brings out the best in us.
On January 8, your correspondent visited Governor’s Island, where eagles were hunting coots,
geese were flocking in the remaining open water of Lake Mendota,
and ice crystals piled up in beautiful arrays.
At dusk, we noticed the huge nearly full moon rising over Warner Park.
