Maynard, the mascot of the Madison Mallards, graciously agreed to lead a children’s nature walk on June 19.
With Trish O’Kane, Maynard looked through binoculars at a blue heron, enjoyed the high meadow and examined some of the 300 bugs found in the 200-year-old Bur Oak.
